We know your privacy is important to you, so this document will outline our approach to your information.

info that you manually give us.

Anything contained within your profile is your information to share, not ours. We have added measures in place so that you can choose to not share any of your info at all with other users of the site, just share your info with users on your friends list, or even share information with the world.

If you choose too, you do not have to fill in any profile information other than your username, email address and birthdate (for COPPA compliance).

Your username is the only of these three things that will always be public information.

If in the future we decide to sell our assets to a third party, we will notify you of this and you will have the opportunity to delete your information and your account, prior to the sale.

info that your browser gives us.

As with all websites, when you visit ours, your browser provides our server with traffic information. This includes things like your IP address, browser, and operating system. We also will keep track of when you login and show if you are online or not to other members of the site. However, they will not be able to see that information unless they are logged in as well, so people can't just come to the website and look for people who are logged in.

For statistical analysis, we utilize Google's Analytics which is a javascript based tracking package.

other information that is collected.

When you are an active user on Sochl, a small amount of your activities (ie Adding a game to your collection, posting a blog entry) are saved in our database. This information is displayed for visitors to check out what you have been doing. Information saved in this process is never sensitive and your history is only kept back to 15 actions.

Sochl.com uses cookies that are saved to your computer to store certain information in regards to your browsing of the website. This information is limited to simple identifiers that help us personalize information for you. In the event that you chose to remain logged in even when the browser closes, we will store an additional cookie on your computer which allows you to come back in without.

security

Your information is protected behind a username and password login system. Your password is encrypted in our database and cannot be read as plain text or decrypted. If you use a public computer to access our site, please be sure to logout when you are finished to prevent others from accessing your data.
