I love my local game store. I got this 2 days ago, got it early. I love it so far.

Here is a bit of a preview.

Graphics 9.5
Really astounding. The texture work and the design of both the backgrounds and characters is excellent.

Gameplay: 8.5
I enjoy some of the new skills in the skills system and the ability to not only make characters look different but trully be different with an almost RPG style skill system is very enjoyable.

Music/Sounds 8: Lets be honest its Soul Calibur, the bombastic music is just like all the Soul Calibur's before it and so are the sound effects. Making a return is the cheesy storyline narrated by the announcer from the previous games. The music is various orchastra peices.

Pro's
Graphics.
Create a Character system actually makes characters LOOK like they were originally created by the game.
Tons of stages.
Tons of characters.

Con's
I actually feel that the music could be better with a switchup.
The story...well it makes less sense that previous Soul Calibur games...which is almost impossible.
Yoda rocks, but the inability to adjust the Star Wars characters is a horrid idea.
The Tower part of the game...is horrid. It does not flow well nor is it very enjoyable.

When news came out that Star Wars characters would be in SC4, I didn't bother looking into it more... all I thought was "wow, that's not really appropriate for the universe." and that's all I knew.

The latest EGM has a back cover ad for SC4, showing both Vader and Yoda, as well as two other SC characters.

I just found out that, despite it being advertised as having both characters in the game, they won't be in the same version (Artayd2 made me privy to this). The PS3 will get Vader, and the 360 will get Yoda. I've been told "where have you been, this info has been known forever!" but I fail to see how this information is properly relayed to the general public on the back of a gaming magazine, in the manner they have presented it.

I wasn't planning on picking up the game before, but I will not pick it up for sure now.
